Daniel: The Boy Who Wanted School is more than a memoir—it is a story of hope, perseverance, faith, and the life-changing power of education. Every page reflects a journey from a small village in Liberia to a life dedicated to service, leadership, and empowering others.
As part of that commitment, 10% of all book royalties will support Change for Liberian Children and Youth (CLCY), a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for underprivileged children and youth in Liberia.
For years, CLCY has provided scholarships, school supplies, mentorship, and humanitarian assistance to students and families who would otherwise be left behind. But our vision extends far beyond today.
Building Liberia's Future
CLCY's long-term vision is to establish a Vocational and Technical Institution in Careysburg District, Liberia, on five acres of land already secured and dedicated for this purpose.
This future campus will provide vocational training, technical education, leadership development, and workforce preparation for young Liberians seeking a pathway to self-sufficiency and economic opportunity.
Our goal is to equip future generations with practical skills, strong values, and the education needed to become entrepreneurs, skilled professionals, and community leaders who will help transform Liberia.
The concept rendering shown here represents our vision for the future campus. While this project will be developed in phases, our commitment remains unchanged: to create opportunities that empower young people, strengthen communities, and build a brighter future for Liberia.

Scholarships
CLCY provides tuition support for primary, secondary, and post-secondary students across Liberia. Through donations and book sales, we are expanding opportunities for high-achieving Liberian students to access international scholarships and student exchange programs in the United States and Canada. We believe education is the key that unlocks potential, transforms lives, and builds future leaders.
School Supplies
CLCY delivers textbooks, uniforms, learning materials, and classroom resources to underserved schools across Liberia, ensuring that students have the tools they need to learn, succeed, and reach their full potential.
Mentorship & Outreach
CLCY provides faith-based mentorship, spiritual guidance, and humanitarian assistance to children, families, and communities across Liberia. We believe that true success is built on both education and faith in Jesus Christ. By nurturing minds, strengthening character, and sharing the love of Christ, we empower individuals to reach their God-given potential and become leaders who positively impact their communities.
